I object to the idea that Christians own marriage. They don't. It's not down to you what people can do in a secular state. If Jews can marry, if Muslims can marry, if atheists can marry then you. have. no. say. on what marriage means. And how about abortions? So other religions believe that Abortion is right then WHY if you think gay marriage is a sin? He doesn't think it is a sin?

It's pathetic they have no big deal with atheist getting married who don't even believe in christ! YET! their are gays that are more christian and act more like 'christians' then some actual christians the only difference is they are gay. AND hell everyone sins. I don't see why everyone makes it seem like being gay is the worse sin out there. and isn't this up for God to decide. He forgives all sins and washes them away as long as you accept him into your life.
Why do christians think they are allowed to play god and dictate what people do? o.0 Isn't that up to God. Isn't it up to God to judge. NOT YOU! Let them live the life they want and stop interfering. When they die it will be God that judges them... I don't see why Christians think they are allowed to.
I mean in all honesty the bible mentions so many sins but god forgives. If you argue that's a sin were all almost making that sin (Phili 4.6) If someone is 'born again' DESPISING one of god's children. Pretty sure a lot of Christians hate on the gays. THEY ARE god's children after all, breaking up homes, accepting a bribe, swearing, NOT spanking a disobedient child, woman that do not dress modestly woman that dress in pearls and gold, complaining, divorce is even a sin.... i mean this list goes on forever... and abortion is technically a sin. >.> it's funny how people pick and choose what they feel still counts as a sin and what shouldn't. really.
so i'm quite lost as to why people that believe in god ignore all these sins as if they're no big deal and act like the only big deal of a sin is being gay? like wtf.

I won't the text you since it will create one big sausage And again with the real Christians stuff. Stop it. Belief in god= Christian, that is all. Same way how white skin = part of white population If they made a study comparing white divorce rates to black ones would you be asking for more details? Maybe the white guys weren't so white, maybe they were 1/4th black. That family wasn't black they were just a white couple with a tanning obsession You are pretending that in order to be Christian you need a qualification. If you say you are a Christian you are a Christian. Anyway I am sorry I don't trust Christians that say they will listen to the scientific method. Maybe you are not like others but most Christian agree with the science when it suits them. Dinosaurs are there to fool us, carbon dating is wrong etc Solid methodology doesn't exist because you will always find flaws in them. You know that Christians have lower divorce rates so when presented with something else you create different standards My biggest example is Global Warming. I don't get what's with Christians and denying GW but fine. Or if you persoanlly believe it to be man made The science is good but most you them say lalalalalalalalala when presented with the science It is nearly 4:00am, the first chance I have had to sit in front of my computer and do non-work related things, I need sleep so this will be short. First of all, I don't know how you can just take the human equation out of being a christian. That's like someone saying they are a musician and you hang around them for a few days and find nothing related to music at all. Or maybe you find one sheet of music. Also, I never said the study was wrong. If they indeed asked those simple two questions, I mentioned in my previous post, or something similar, then I accept the results and am not surprised by the results. Using the white and black analogy is a fail. Being a Christian or religious is a spiritual thing. It is not something you can see or touch.
How is being atheist not worse than being gay? Ok being gay is a sin then what the hell is not believing a bigger sin? How is not worse? Marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman and between the participants and God (Malachi. 2:14-16) I didn't say being an athiest isn't worse, coming from a Christian standpoint. From my persepctive as a Christian and according to the bible, it is a sin to be gay. Again, there are many sins and I'm guitly of sin. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. Period. You can take religion totally out of that because that is what I believe as a human being.
To repeat myself... I hate the work hard = rich fallacy It is a big lie I didn't say all jobs should be rewarded equally. Just stop pretending that rich people are rich just because they worked hard It's so rigged in favor of the rich it's tragic Sure saying well go to college and then do that but for some people that is impossible even if they are brilliant. Rich spoiled brats can get more easily into college and won't have a problem to pay for it while the guys and gals they are competing with them have to pay back the loans And then after all it's done they say to the above guy/gal or people who had no choice to stay home or couldn't afford a better college "well you should have worked harder" What can I say country of all opportunities I feel like words are being put in my mouth that I didn't say. I never said, every single rich person works hard. Some are indeed handed a ton of money. But someone, the parents, the grandparents very likely worked very hard for that money. What is wrong with passing along your money to your kids? If that is what you want to do, big deal. And to address a comment from someone else, don't remember who. I never once said I thought rich people are better than poor people. I never said the people who have jobs that pay less do not work hard. I never said all rich people work hard but I'm fairly certain someone in their family did at some time or another. Or they won the lottery. I do think if you want something bad enough, you can try reach that goal. Not everyone will be successful but some will. I'm sorry, I just don't agree with you. I flat out don't believe in socialism and I never will. Also it's bad taste to claim Romney did it without his father helpThe sad part is that countries really reward people that work hard, where students can actually rise Americans call socialist BTW I am rich... more exactly my family is If you go back and read my post, I clearly said Romney had "advantages". So how did your family become rich, Alexx? Was everyone in your family lazy? Do your parents or grandparents just lay around all day while the money rolls in magically? Apologies to all you others. This is exactly the reason I should just stay out of topics like this because I know it won't be a one on one deal. More like 7 to 1 (Now I know how Robert must of felt.) and I'm just too tired to deal with everyone. As it is, I'm getting about 3 hours of sleep before I have to get up again and start my day over.

Being a Christian or religious is a spiritual thing. It is not something you can see or touch. I don't want to use the classic 4 year old comeback but you are the one with the fail. I 100% agree with "not something you can see or touch" so that is why I said if someone says they are religious you should believe them. You are the one with the %Christian. Nothing wrong with passing along the money Sure saying well go to college and then do that but for some people that is impossible even if they are brilliant. Rich spoiled brats can get more easily into college and won't have a problem to pay for it while the guys and gals they are competing with them have to pay back the loans And then after all it's done they say to the above guy/gal or people who had no choice to stay home or couldn't afford a better college "well you should have worked harder"What can I say country of all opportunities Do you see my problem Totally different situation as my parents were born in communism. With all the bad things that come with it communism it really had the work hard = go far. Best in class would always get the best job. Equal meant equal Me too I didn't pay one dollar (well leu more exactly ) for my education. But still I had more advantages that others. You can continue this whenever you want.. tommorrow next week, next month

You can't say something horrendously offensive to a lot of people and then complain that you're outnumbered. If you come to a public forum spouting that everyone who isn't as rich as Romney is just really lazy then you're going to find a decent level of opposition to your viewpoint and to claim victimhood because "ho crap poor people just read what I said and took issue" is really quite low.

Horrendous? Lazy? Go back and read my posts. I can come here and state my opinion and I can point out that I don't have the time or inclination to respond to everyone. I can and I did. Where is the rule one must debate if one states their opinion?

It's their own choice to ignore it if they feel offended or not, hence the reason debates are used. If people just ignored it then there wouldnt be 12 pages of arguments that don't even have anything to do with the subject.

I don't see what you're complaining abut, tumbleweed. You say something, it's contested, an argument ensues, the argument goes badly for you then you start complaining that people started arguing against you in the first place? The prerogative to leave was yours but you chose to continue arguing.

It really doesn't make sense to come on a message board see how almost everyone is already against you and then speak your mind... then complain you're outnumbered. You were outbumbered before you even decided to speak. I understand feeling the need to 'defend' yourself for your ideas on marriage. However, nobody else seems to be as close minded as you are. I mean after all most of us our from America where we believe everyone should have equal rights unfortunately some people in America feel like they are allowed to take other people's right simply because their religion must be so much better then everyone else's. *actually idk if everyone is from america i actually know their not but their from countries that accept it a bit more as far as im aware*
It's sad how in America we pride ourselves of freedom and equal rights. Yet other countries are ten times better off then us when it comes to equal rights among other things. Sad really. Not all countries but England and Canada. Which I have always seen as America's other halfs. Because we have very similar cultures.
I'm sorry but marriage is not only celebrated in the christian and catholic culture so I don't see why they think they own it. Pathetic. And DIVORCE is a sin and you don't see them ranting about people getting divorces. And im sure MANY have had a divorce before. Lesbians and Gays at least have been fighting so long for marriage and think before they get married unlike straight people who pretty much go out and get married randomly then divorce... like 72 days later.
