I've always amazed by how long Boom's posts are.

Boom would probably cause a lot of interesting debates on message boards -- which would have very long posts (from him). ;-)

I love how in the last four years, I saw so many people complaining about Obama, yet they decided that since they didn't like either, they'd vote to reelect Obama.

They'd rather take a chance on Obama then take a chance on Romney. Because at the end of the day America may need a chance but that doesn't mean it was Mitt Romney. haha.

Still. Everyone is begging for change, so they bring back the president who changed us for the worst? I'd rather take a chance with Romney, because we've seen Obama's ability to meet his empty promises.

So when he won in 2008 in office USA was on +. Surplus and a national low of unemployment He then proceed to create a 16 trillion debt? Got it
So the guy that created a surplus into debt is not at all to blame? He got USA into 2 very expensive wars... that was all Obama?

I'd rather take a chance with Romney, because we've seen Obama's ability to meet his empty promises. Romney had a "5 point" plan (or was it 7). He never stated what it was. Romney said he will eliminate Planned Parenthood. Romney said he will eliminate FEMA (that was until Hurricane Sandy) Romney would get rid of Obamacare, and replace it with a voucher system (which would have a cap after so many vouchers). That would have put many people, including me and my sister (she's battling cancer. I am physically disabled, and use a wheelchair), in jeopardy. Romney collected food and other stuff for Sandy victims, but you had to go to one of his campaign events. Obama met the NJ governor face-to-face and asked what could be done. You're right. Romney would have been the better choice.

And why didn't he go to NJ to see the damage for himself?

I'd rather take a chance with Romney, because we've seen Obama's ability to meet his empty promises. You shouldn't vote for a candidate just to give them a shot, that's the wrong approach and could lead to an even bigger disaster. The problem with Romney was that he couldn't convince the public on his intentions. He was very vague and tended to flip between an extremist to a moderate and you simply can't do that and expect people to be able to follow you. And the only thing certain about Romney was that he support the trickle down effect economy, which he called the "5 step plan" or whatever it was. Simply put; it's Romney's fault why he lost this race. He had an advantage but completely blew it.

We could vote in a dog and get better results than any of the candidates.

We could vote in a dog and get better results than any of the candidates. We would probably see more. It seemed like Congress and Obama was at a never ending battle during the past four years, so nothing was getting done. Perhaps we might see a change in that this year? Am I being too optimistic?
