In a previous proboards forum of mine, people used to get a proboards mail when they created an account. But the mail didnt have the activation key. They had everytime to request for resendation of activation email & this happened with all members even though they specifically didnt have an email id of yahoo or hotmail or whatever.... I finally left that forum & created another...

If you want an example of an actual blocked server I know of one. Server 99 is definately blocked with hotmail. 2 forum's I've tested it on, and both never recieve the e-mail, it doesn't even appear in the junk mail.
Heres a way to allow a certain domain or server to reach you in hotmail (need windows live beta update, but it may work in hotmail too.)
In the upper-right corner of the page, click Options. Click Mail and junk e-mail. (on the left tab) Click Allowed and blocked senders, and then click Allowed senders. Enter an e-mail address or domain, and then click Add to List. (I'd presume nobody@proboards.com?)
I do have an alternate yahoo account, but I barely use it, and often forget about it.
As you said it seems to be the newer servers being blocked. Also paying $20.00 is just waiting for certain people to abuse, it's just dumb.

ouch, that's still dumb. Though can I ask a question, you say you tried changing Nobody@Proboards.com to try and escape the filter?
what would it be now? so I can add it to my allowed servers name.

The problem isnt the "from" email. After changing it the same servers remained blocked etc. They have issed and IP block Either way for reference, the emails come from correspondence@mailX.proboards.com Where X represents the mail server group Servers 1-19 are on mail1.proboards.com20-29 2 30-29 3 etc 90-99 9 100-109 10

You can make the account for them yes. But they still have to activate it via the email activation code. :-\

I have requested 5 times an activation key for my proboard. I have not recieved it. I used a hotmail address at first and then I resorted to using my yahoo address. I recieved the key for this board almost instantly but it has been almost three hours and I have not recieved anything for my own board.

Bugger Just set up a new forum and not received activation codes. It's server 98 and it was a googlemail address. I tried resending, and then resending using gmail.com not @googlemail.com (goes to the same inbox) and still nothing. Argh!!!!

My other admin on my site changed her email address to her new verizon account and hasn't gotten the activation code either.
