Well, I am on my wife's laptop which is a lot faster while Liz is in the lounge watching her dreaded (to me) soap operas, I can hear Emmerdale Farm starting (music) here in the dining room, glad I have some peace and quiet in here lol. Some good matches on tonight so I am looking forward to that, I hope your Newcastle D can break the brace of 2 losses with a win tonight, that would make you a happy chappy.

Footy thread seems like a good place to seek refuge from soap operas Aye, fingers well and truly crossed (and arms, toes, legs). Rafa has dropped Lascells (our capitain) after he was responsible for goals in both our last games. Big decision and big statement. Our team's a lot different today to the one in the first two games as well. Feels like this'll either go incredibly well or incredibly poorly.

Lascelles, I thought he went back to his former club Nottingham Forest on loan? Only a young lad really at 23 so maybe Raffa thinks he is too young for the captaincy and will play him again, I hope so for the young lad's sake, he has been in the England U18's, 19's, 20's and 21's.

That was two seasons ago now. He had a decent end to last season and Rafa made him capitain this season based on how fired up he got everyone last season apparently. We've already had a goal disallowed, Gayle did a little bit of a hand of god by the sounds of it.

Your B&HA 2-0 up D , top of the league so far. My BHA Decent 3-0 last night and were able to be without a couple of shoe-ins for the first XI as well (Stockdale & Kayal). Top for the time being on goal difference but if QPR win against newly promoted Barnsley then they take top spot. Fortunately other teams vying for that spot slipped up as well - Aston Villa (hilariously) v Huddersfield and Sheff Weds getting thumped 3-1 at Burton, another newly promoted team. Two tough away matches for us now..Reading, then Newcastle. Barnsley beating QPR atm so your BHA are on top of the pile.

We've conceded a minute before half time for the THIRD match in a row.
Almost as impressive as Shane Duffy managing to score three own goals in less than two games. He's on two already tonight, going for the hatrick!

Well, 4-1 final score and seems like everything was a bit more secure tonight, from the back four to the supply side of attacking. Still looked a bit shaky at the back but getting there slowly. A win on Saturday away at Bristol City would really cement that we mean business, but can't say I'm overly optimistic again.
One thing I forgot I love about the Championship is how close the games are to each other. No waiting for a week is one of the few positives of being back down in the division.

I bet you ARE a happy chappie now buddy, it finally clicked at home, I think Raffa must have kicked a few bums in the dressing room at h/t. Well Graham your BHA are top of the pile as QPR lost 3-2, good night of football, quite enjoyed it.

He's on two already tonight, going for the hatrick! ...and finishing off the night by being sent off...what a night for him. Think his days at Blackburn could be numbered - I know we (BHA) are interested in him but both the OG's were...to be, avoidable and the 2nd yellow for kicking the ball away was unprofessional. I can understand the frustration of having such an awful night but it's still an offence. According to some on a BHA forum I frequent, he's also turned down a contract offer and deleted his Twitter account this week...i think the kid needs a bit of a hug.

Yeah, the commentators on our game did mention him turning down the contract and wondered if it could be related to his poor performance. It shows a fair old lack of discipline for someone who's 24, especially if he's expecting a move elsewhere. Baffling really.

Good win for United last night Caajscot (John), whole team looked really impressive for the first time since SAF left. Would be very excited to be a United fan going into the rest of the season. Match day today for the rest of us!

Match day today for the rest of us! Aye d, looking good so far but a long way to go yet, once we get the shadow's of Moyes & LVG out of OT and bring back the way United would play under SAF the better. None of this possession football ping pong and total attacking football the way it was under SAF. I think the last two matches statistics under Jose has been something lower than the opposite team for possession which means the players are not passing backwards, sidewards etc and attack more, go 1 nil down then attack and score 2.

Ah well mate, least you'll get to see it on tele one way or the other. Having to get used to radio commentaries again is a bit difficult for me. It's alright if we win but when losing I always want to make my own observations and highlights don't cut it.
