I am getting emails with people complaining about the Atlantis Gay Cruises in full size banner at the top of my site. Is there anything that can be done about this . Members are threatening to leave my site because of it.

Explain to those members that you have no controll over the advertisements. And if they find them offensive then they can either file a complaint with ProBoards directly, Or they are more than welcome to donate some adfree credits to have the adverts removed.

If they still complain, then let them go. If they do not want to do anything to get rid of the adverts, or they expect YOU to pay for addfree so THEY are not offended, ten let them go. You are not running a buisness. You are running a message board. You will NEVER be able to please 100% of your members 100% of the time! It will NEVER HAPPEN. Some people will whine and complain. Just try to be as dimplmatic as possible. If someone leaves because they did not get their way, then you may have avoided a future flamewar.

Message boards are like TV, "If you do not like what you see, change channels"
