I dont know the details, we never changed anything at this end. Like i said all along, it wasnt down to us. My guess is that Sky did something?
As for something a little more techy which you might be asking for:
The issue seemed limited to port 80 traffic towards our load balencers. When i added a port 8080 alternative the LB's (while keeping the rest of the config the same) it allowed Sky users access since the block was just on port 80. It also verified that our LB setup wasnt the issue.
If you can access normally now, whatever issue was causing port 80 traffic not to reach us has been resolved. Only thing i know is that it wasnt us because the problem wasnt at this end.

My members report access without the workaround as being a success and I've opened the forum on my laptop which runs on a different network altogether so, for me at least, the problem seems to have worked itself out. Weird.

Well it's still working normally (Sky user here) so hopefully Sky had enough complaints to actually bother to fix it in the end.
The port 8080 workaround (thanks for that!) is still working too.

The servers i set up for the work around will remain operational until tomorrow evening (UK time) in case the problem re-emerges. In the event there are further complaints i will of course leave them operational for longer.
Its unfortunate we needed to run a totally separate setup to begin with. At least someone over there found something and fixed it.

My usual board is now working without the 8080 code too - BUT, a virus warning came right up, saying my computer is infected with malware. Am going to run a full virus check now.
Don't know what to do, as I use my usual board all the time. I guess the first thing to do is alert its administrator?

Yep, mine is working fine now too without the 8080 thats typical of sky, they are great until there is a problem, they always insist is isnt them, then they sneak off and fix it.... Well done proboards management for making this temp fix, I knew I made the right decision when we all came over from msn

Your fix worked like a dream yesterday when I wasn't able to access the site I belong too.
In meantime, as you said, Sky must have fixed something as I can now access the forum I wish without using the fix.
So glad i found this help forum.
Cheers, Martyn!
