[request] auto pm message for rank ups

when it reaches 200, does it just start deleting the oldest ones to make room for the newest ones, or will they just stop recording?

admin gets a menu item that will even put up a notification balloon when new rank ups have happened since the last page refresh and when the dialog pops up they are bold. I have a hard max set at 200 in order to make sure storage doesnt get overfull, and an option in the settings for a smaller number if desired.

I like the new area for letting me know who ranked up
it also helps me keep track and store images of every user on my site

and about taking pictures I mean screencaps to allow for more room if it has to remove older data for newer member notifications.

I can't get it to work and I'm not entirely sure why. I have $[user.rank.name] in my mini-profile so I don't THINK it's a template problem, though I do have the rank get overriden if you're in a group and almost everyone is in a group. I put a rank in called +1 Constitution when they reach 2 posts then went into a test account and posted to 2 and didn't have any pop-ups. Something I'm doing wrong or a possible glitch?

ok I had my sister try it out and she gave me it out flat

The way I had intended for this plugin to work was based off of strictly the member rank up via posting. So when Wormopolis finished it up with this last push he completed my idea. 

so what I just highlighted was indeed the way it was not suppose to work but Wormo can add it if he chooses I'm still extremely happy even if my year long wait has finally been made. "happy tears dropping"

No re-writes required, I can have the rank not get overriden and just have it on display none I just wanted to make sure that was the problem

On my site alcryst.proboards.com there is no pop up when you reach the next rank, nor do I have anything in my RankWatch tab despite having a test account reach a new posting rank. I figured it's because I have the rank name overridden by the group name if they are in a member group but haven't tested it yet

this wont use anything in the template.  it should be using what is served in proboards.data.

likelt something got messed in the key.  check key permissions and tell me what you have?

Also, anyone know if we can get the value in the Monetary Plugin to tell the members how much they earn along with their rank up? I was tailoring the message along the lines of:

"Congratulations $[user.recipient]! You have earned $[rank.up.money] from gaining the new roleplaying level, $[rank]."

The values that are crossed out don't apparently work.

$[user] I could add in there.. but money would have to rely on the API from the money system, which then relys on having to have yootil loaded which I didnt want to HAVE to rely on yootil being present (no offense to yootil or anything)

Yep the pop-ups are working for me. I almost didn't get the rankwatch notifications since hovering over the usernames/clicking them didn't indicate that they actually were objects you could click! (Normally your cursor changes hovering over stuff like that, but hey, later when the plugin is fully posted up you might just want to notify people to actually click their names to get that to show up.)

We got one error to show up though. Basically if you set a member's posting number to "0" but your first Rank achieved is at like "1" it will give "You can only push onto an array; Error 64" (dumbed down term means that it must be put to at least the max number of posts for the first rank.) Might want to make it say something more simple like: "The number of posts you are setting are below the requirement for any rank. Error 64"

Other than that the pop-up displays for everyone; albeit pretty large.

Having $user would be great, I already have yootil installed, so why not make it optional? I mean, it would just be nice to have it there and available since that system does give you money for it. Eventually someone else would ask the same thing anyway. They don't HAVE to have it though just for the plugin to function.

By the way, I love "Blank Rank" X3
