TodgeTodge, I found the poker thread so will post here. The edit button is showing and someone used it to get 2 deuces of hearts. I don't know why the plug in stopped working. This is where my test poker thread is trueblueliberty.com/thread/2187/testing-poker-thread?page=1&scrollTo=20983also the last time I tested it, I got this I didn't move or delete anything. I disabled the timed edit plug in to make sure that that wasn't causing a problem, but that isn't it either. I'm going to re enable the timed edit. Let me know if you want it disabled.

Could you please open that board for guests. I'll need to see the page to try and work out why the plugin may not be working.
In you image, it looks to me as if it's a photobucket problem rather than a code problem. For some reason, the image is not loading.

I kept trying to reload that page to see if photobucket would show it, but so far it hasn't.

TodgeI took a screen cap with my testing account for my live site You can see the edit button on the right. And when you hit it, you can see the cards letters and backspace real fast to change a card.

First up, check your card images. It looks like card number 32 (8 of spades) is missing from your images.
When you edit a post containing a poker hand, the hand is removed from the post as soon as the editing page loads, which is why you see it momentarily, but, when you try to post it, the original hand should be re-inserted into the post, making editing the poker hand impossible.
How, exactly, did your member manage to edit their hand? and did the post end up showing 2 poker hands or just the one edited?

So I tried photobucket and despite the URL working how it should (everything was identical for all the images besides 1, 2, 3, etc. and I replaced it with an *) it showed in posts like [hand][c32][c35][c13][c26][c14][/hand] every time, no images. I then tried tinypic and it doesn't make URLs that are the same. I then tried flickr and same thing. I'm getting quite frustrated at this point xD Any tips, anyone?

I uploaded the deck to Photobucket too and didn't get a usable URL.
This is the kind of URL I get: http://i204./bb156/verypeachy/WIN8PC/poker_images/deck/1_zpse6b4e60c.gif
Edit: I also tried ImageShack.
What hosting site are the others using who say it's working for them?
Thanks.

The chances are you have a template that is screwing with the plugin. Could you post a link to a guest viewable thread where this is happening please.

Photobucket has a nasty habit of appending random characters to the end of your image URLs, in your case, the red bit above. There is a setting to stop that from happening, but I'm not the one to ask how.. I never use Photobucket and recommend that others don't either with this code. I use Walagata, and have no problems with it, but it is a pay-to-use site, though it is very cheap.

Hi, I've been posting about it on this thread too: support.proboards.com/thread/501262/poker-card-games?page=1&scrollTo=5734062. I posted this earlier: 'I re-uploaded the images with the smaller setting, then entered that in the plug-in and it was saved. I entered it like this:
i204./bb156/verypeachy/poker_cards/*_zpsdb1e7034.gif, where there was a 1.
Then I chose the Games board to have it installed in, but I don't see it. Shouldn't it be next to the Chess game in the board header?'So, if the URL was saved, does that mean it was accepted and the game should appear on the board? If not, I'll check out that other website. Thanks.

Hi ya,
You are still getting the random characters at the end of your URLs, in the above case, _zpsdb1e7034.
Because Photobucket will generate a different set of random characters for each image, the only card you would see in this case is the card number 1, all others will have a broken link.
The code itself should still be working though, and you should get an extra button on the posting page which, when clicked, will generate a random 5 card poker hand.

Yes, it did exactly what you said. The code works, but only the first card shows and the rest of the cards have a broken link. I guess I'll check out that site you suggested. Thanks!
