Hashtag In Posts

Hey there,

I wasn't sure where to post this .... but was wondering if it would be possible to make a plugin or maybe this is a template mod, either way, a way to make it that when someone posts a hashtag ... eg:  #greatness  ... that it becomes a link, similar to that on Twitter?

Hey Wormopolis, well, like on Twitter ... it works this way.. I guess what I'm looking for is something that can be created to give the same affect whenever you use it in posts. Based on how it works on Twitter, do you see a way that it can be integrated in a useful way? IF FOR NOTHING ELSE, whenever a hastag IS created, that it appears in link form .. not necessarily a link TO anything .. but appearing as a link to standout in the way hashtags are SEEN on Twitter. Tough to describe.

so you want to group all the posts together that share the same hashtag?

I suppose you could turn #WORD_HERE into a link to /search/results?what_at_least_one=WORD_HERE&display_as=0. That'd link you to a search page with posts that have that word in them. Of course, from there you'd have to filter it down to those prefaced with a pound. A different symbol would make it easier.

This might be something that would work, Wormopolis.  Like Twitter, but within the forum I suppose.

This would also be something that would work, Tim Camara ... however, I'd still like to keep the # symbol, if possible.  A different symbol wouldn't be the same tbh. 

I'm open to either one of these ideas.

guys I know you are REALLY hoping for this, but having multiple people doesnt meant the 24 hour bump rule can be circumvented.
