Forum URL: http://maisonduviolette
Good morning, Support Team
I'm having a little problem over on Maison du Violette this morning. I've just reopened my forum after a really long time, and two members have reported that when they try to log in they are told "there is a problem." One member just made a new account because she was in a hurry to get to work. The other member has not re-tried to log in. (There were a few members that were able to log in.) Can you guys check into this issue?
Thanks so much,
Violette

Violette, there are no system related issues that I'm aware of that could be in play. I was able register an account and then log in successfully with both Chrome and Firefox. It would be helpful to know what they mean by "there is a problem" Is there a specific error message they are receiving?

When I try her board I get this ...
Edited: I'm am also using FF as well (I thought I better throw that in there just encase).
Her board link in her pain post is broken too, it doesn't show up normally like other links do when people leave their board links.
I hope this little bit of info was helpful for the admins of Proboards.

Thank you, @linette, for posting that message. The other lady had already gone to work when I PM'd her for the full message, so I appreciate you posting it!

That isn't the link to their forum, so the link you specified in your address bar will not work. Her board link in her pain post is broken too, it doesn't show up normally like other links do when people leave their board links. They didn't specify the .proboards.com bit that goes at the end of the link, so it didn't turn into one because http://maisonduviolette is not recognized as a valid link.

Violette, in the screenshot it shows them using the URL "http://maisonduviolette.proboards.com/forum", what happens if they just use the root URL of http://maisonduviolette.proboards.com?

Scott, just for fun I tried to login using Edge, adding the /forum to the address and had no problem logging in. Haven't heard back from the member yet that had a problem. It worries me that others might be having a problem as well.

This was her answer: "I tried the link that you sent out and the link on the screen shot. They both give the same result!"
Is there anything that I can do on my end to make it possible for her to login?

Hello.
Are they both using Firefox? If so, do either, or both of them, have an add-on called "HTTPS Everywhere" installed on their browser? Just out of curiosity, what happens if either of them click the image in your signature here on support?

Hi, Kitty Katt
One lady just created another account and deleted the one she couldn't use. It looks like the other lady uses Safari, from her screenshot. It's late now where she lives, so I'll have to wait til morning to ask her any more questions.
It is somewhat of a concern that after being shut down for so long, that at least two members could not get on the forum. There might be more that I am not aware of yet. So I'm really hoping we can figure out what is causing it.
What do you think might be causing the problem?

im getting a loading issue as well. from explorer (desktop), chrome (desktop), safari (iPhone), and silk (amazon fire). it's either frozen, 'unresponsive', "page not responding." one user told me they keep getting a viglink error too.

Thank you, mikecornejo! So, this problem might not be browser-related, then. Glad you posted your results with some other browsers.
