i've been using font awesome for my own sites but i've been wondering how to approach some of the templates i'm making. you're a saint!
do you think it's possible to replace the wysiwyg icons with these without saving as an image first?

I added a logo to my forum and now I want to send a copy of the updated title and logo to my affiliates, can someone help me with that? My website link is gamemafia.boards.netWhat do you mean "screenshotting abilities"? It sounds like you want to update your affiliate image, but that shouldn't involve any screenshots. Also, you may want to check out the rules about requesting images: support.proboards.com/page/cdrules#gdr

Sorry for the inconvenience. Not my intention to confuse or to annoy. My apologies. There is really no inconvenience here, and no one is annoyed. We (volunteers and PB staff alike) are here and super happy to help, but the confusion stems from not being sure what we can help you with since you haven't actually stated what the issue is beyond spammers existing and trying to spam. What specifically is the concern regarding these guest / spammer interactions? Everyone, myself included, is open to answering any questions, alleviating concerns, and/or providing technical support; we just need to know what the actual issue is.

Hello! Sorry for the delay in replying. I started a new job last week and was just a little too busy during the week to provide a review. Before I start, I want to preface the review with this: nothing I say is personal. Whatever opinion I provide is purely from an analytical perspective, using my personal experience with forums & my professional experience in this field to provide feedback. The important thing is to take what you like and feel you can use from my comments, and disregard anything you dislike or that doesn't serve your purpose. OK, with that out of the way, let's get on with the review! Luckily, I'm both a seasoned RP admin and a big Pokémon fan, so this will have a bit more of a holistic approach. -- First Impressions: It's a little plain. The "ORAS" on your banner looks very pixelated and it's a little blurry a first glance especially with the colour choice (which I know is intentional, but just keep this in mind). Beyond that, it's just a bunch of green with skitty icons. I think that the intent of the forum being a roleplay specifically is lost in this; there isn't really anything that sort of hooks me into the forum, and I am someone who would conceivably be in your target audience being both an RPer and a Pokémon fan who has played ORAS as well as the original RSE countless times. As it currently stands, if I were looking to join a Pokémon RP, I would probably pass over this one as I have other options like ZapdosZulu and Shula, which tell me more upfront the purpose of the forum & what I need to know, or would wind up making my own. The visuals of the other two forums are also a lot more dedicated to the pokémon theme and are overall more aesthetically pleasing. Content: There are so many boards, and most of them are empty. It doesn't look particularly active, or like you are really motivated to RP. This is further emphasised by me checking your recent threads list. Page 1 displays 30 threads, with the last updates occurring within the last 16 days. Further observation shows 10 ads and 8 forum games on page one. Of the remaining threads, 3 are in-character posts, 3 are character profiles, and 6 are administrative / game info threads. In other words, in the last 16 days your activity on the forum that guests can see: - 60% unrelated to anything regarding pokémon at all - 20% administrative / informational - 10% character profiles - 10% actual roleplay I would recommend condensing boards into similar topics. Do you need to have a completely dedicated board for each city in Hoenn immediately visible? Subboards are infinitely nesting, so you could divide Hoenn into North / South / East / West boards, then subboards for each city in those regions, and then sub-sub boards for landmarks in those cities. Condensing boards will increase perception of activity at a cursory glance, provided that each board has at least ONE thread (which I recommend -- a lot of people are reluctant to be the first person to post in a board). I would also recommend pulling back your focus from the game corner and being more present in the RP yourself; if the admin doesn't participate in-character enough, neither will players. Lastly, I recommend some table or something at the top of the forum, before the boards, to let users know what it's about. The forum says ORAS but are we just following the plot of ORAS? Is it just set in ORAS's setting? How does the original RSE fit in? What kind of person can I be? Do I have to be a trainer? Can I be a pokémon? --- Basically, where's all the information I need to know? Yes, there are boards, but remember, it takes 30 seconds on average for someone to decide to stay or to leave so if a user cannot find pertinent information in this time, they won't bother looking for it and they'll go somewhere that does have it easily findable. Aesthetics: Honestly, it's a bit bland. If skitty and the banner weren't there, I wouldn't know this was a pokémon forum at all, much less a pokémon RP. Also, Skitty is a normal-type pokemon so I'm not super sure about this green theme -- I'd expect either something in grey, or with a more scenic representation an outdoors area that seem like the type of place Skitty (and I presume the 'new post' icon is delcatty) could be found. The banner is, as mentioned, kind of blurry. You may want to reconsider using the red/blue thematic colour on the text, and a higher quality image for a clearer, crisper banner. It's okay if this isn't fancy, but it should be thematically significant. -- Overall: As a whole, I'm kind of underwhelmed. When there are options like ZapdosZulu or Shula or other non-PB-hosted Pokémon RPs, there's nothing that really pulls me towards to this forum in comparison. It seems inactive, and it kind of seems like there's a bigger emphasis on hanging out generally than there is playing in the universe. Information is not easily accessible at a first glance, and in the absence of any other 'hook' to keep me on the site, I would wind up navigating away. Score: 4/10 - I think you can do better if you reprioritise the RP into your main focus and work on seeing what other RPs (not just Pokémon ones) are doing to entice new members, and what they're doing to retain them. Better aesthetics would help, as well. Like I said, none of this is personal. Take my suggestions / observations with a grain of salt. Hope this helps!

Just noticed some deleteds trying to get back in. Still, the large number of new members requesting registration approval seems suspicious. Gently, I don't really understand why there is a lot of suspicion about guest activity. Over the course of the last few threads, there seems to be a recurring theme of feeling like anyone who interacts with the site has some sort of wider conspiratorial agenda against your forum specifically. There have been replies from myself, other PB volunteers, and even PB staff explaining that this is a pretty normal situation when it comes to running online communities. Similarly, you've posted a notice explaining that the forum isn't for advertisements and are trying to engage with accounts who register for the purpose of spam. You've been told several times that these accounts may or may not be real people, and either way will not respond to your messages or obey your rules. At this point, updating PB about continued spam activity doesn't really have any sort of benefit; the automated system which you encounter in this thread that disables accounts that have been detected as spammers is the only real special thing that PB can do against people who aren't engaging genuinely, but other than that they have the exact same tools as you do in your admin panel when it comes to dealing with individual occurrence. I think the question from a 'PB helper' perspective is: what sort of assistance are you looking for when you create threads about spammers coming to your forum? We can only tell you that spammers aren't worth attempting to communicate with + to use the admin tools at your disposal so many times before we sound like a broken record. We're happy to help, of course, but there doesn't seem to be a question anymore. If you do still need help, could you tell us what we can help with?

(Quick note: Per forum rules, while you should have a good descriptive title, you also need to elaborate on your request in the body of the post. Thank you :D) Unfortunately, you cannot create a custom login-page. You can, however, adjust the basic colours of this area in your admin panel under settings. Sorry it's not more favourable news. As an aside, if this is an important component for you, ProBoards does have a sister service called forums.net ; this is a pay-for version of ProBoards, which allows a lot more control over certain things. It is a business-oriented service, so the prices may or may not be in an individual's affordable range, but just wanted to let you know it existed just in case.

I am able to see the forum whilst logged out actually, thank you very much. Would you mind giving me the link address to said FAQ page? My apologies, I misspoke. If you go to the forum, in the menu bar there is a "Rules" option, just under the banner. Click that. See item 8 in the "Housekeeping" section of the post, and it has details for how to appeal.

Opening reviews for this forum! Please review! Forum URL: ClickForum Name: ORAS Description: A Pokemon RP with a simple battle system, plenty of games to play, and much more! We're pretty small and new right now, but hopefully we can change that! What kind of feedback are you looking for? Aesthetic? Content? Something specific? Holistic?

i recently made a space forum, im curious if i have it formatted correctly and if it looks good/well made! let me know! spacetalk.freeforums.net/Since the forum has had 0 customisation (at least, as far as I can see as a guest) there really isn't anything for us to comment on as far as "looking good" or being "well made". It's just the out-of-the-box PB software. A theme would definitely go a long way, or if you don't care about the theme itself, you can give a bit more information about what you'd like out of a content review / the goals of the forum so we can better provide feedback towards that intent.

While I cannot fill this request personally, a few notes: - "Glitched style lettering" is a really broad bucket of stylistic choices. If you can provide links to examples of the effect you'd like to see, it will help volunteers decide if a) they want to take on the task, and b) if they're capable of delivering your needs. - You will need to provide more details for your request. You say "banner" but you don't specific a size of banner, a colour scheme, or any other components you need outside of shrinking down the "G" image. Please provide as many specifics (including specific hex codes for colours, a link to a font if needed, etc) as you can. The fewer the specifics, the less likely someone will take on the job. Best of luck!

The first thing I see is you have head and body tags in that code; that is what your forum is already wrapped in so it's unnecessary and likely the cause of the issue.
Take out everything in the <td> (excluding the opening td tag) starting with <!DOCTYPE html>, except for the link to your forum, and then anything after that except the closing </td>.
Then move the style tags either into your global header still wrapped in style tags or into the style sheet for your theme.
I would recommend adding a class to the CSS elements you have listed there as I presume you don't want ALL text to be centred. Make sure to add them as classes to the HTML too eg;
<h1 class="affiliates">
for html
.affiliates h1
for css

OK - it worked! I just need to study it now so I understand why and how it is functioning. What was getting me off was that when I went to the navigation to setup a custom name it was showing an http:// in the box. Got it now! Next step for me will be to create another table for INLINES and set that up. I sure do appreciate every thing you have done for me. I wish the world had more like you! Thank you so very much! Best regards - Alan Ah, yeah, the default field has the https:// automatically added by the software ... I'm not entirely sure why, but I'm going to guess it has to do with the fact that a majority of users are unaware that they can skip the "main" part of a URL and just leave the path if the link goes to the same site. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do -- beyond this point I think a PM here on support instead of a new thread would be best since you'd be asking for support for something I custom made for you (if you get a pop up saying not to PM me for support, feel free to ignore me since I'm saying here that it's OK).

I went back to the CUSTOM PAGES and looked at the SETTINGS. In the settings I see the following: Title - - - Pancake Division Rules which I did enter earlier ID - - - - - pancake-division-rul Homepage - - YES NO No is selected Frankly I am lost from there. Got it. If the ID you provided is pancake-division-rul (check the spelling on that?) then the URL should be: /page/pancake-division-rulTake that, and following the directions to go to Admin > Settings > Forum Settings, click the "Navigation" tab, and click "Add Custom" to add the link to your list. /page/pancake-division-rul is a valid path so you don't need to have the first part (the forumurl.proboards.com whatever) in front of it. Does this make sense? Additionally, if you CLICK the lD on the custom page list, it will open a new tab or window showing you the page. Screenshot below with an arrow to indicate the link. If you click on your version of this, then you'll be directed to the page you created.
