I need a plug in to pre approve posts by certain members

I think I spotted a problem.  If I am in the threads the plug in works fine and the quarantine is in place, BUT when I go to their profile and click recent posts, those posts show and the quarantine is not in effect.

doesnt work on recent posts. Im currently working on THAT little problem as well as topic summary.

I DID have it hide the quote button though


EDIT:  and grab again.  now works on recen tposts pages


still doesnt affect topic summary though. thats going to take some investigating and Its late for me

ok, I grabbed it.  I'll mess with it later, its 4am.

The recent posts.  Is there a way to not have the post be added to recent posts until after its been approved OR hide recent posts if the member is quarantined?  Just thinking out loud.  My programming days are long long behind me.  COBOL and RPG I & II.

Something I noticed is that now it quarantines all their posts even old ones that were already approved. This would pertain to a member that suddenly needs to have their posts previewed.

Edit to consolidate - Topic summary isn't big for me right now, but being able to put a long
time member on quarantine, without having all their old posts
quarantined is Huge. Very huge and urgent! LOL

I hate to be the bearer of more bad news but, when you quarantine a
person from just one board, then it still shows up in the recent posts.

Well, the test site is on FF, but my live site is IE.

I changed it to check something so, let me put it back and I have IE 10, FF22, Opera, Chrome and Safari on my system to test the old site so I'll go see if it does that on all of them.  BRB

Ok I get the same thing on all 5 browsers.  I have one person quarantined on the whole site but all old posts from a month ago are quarantined too.  There are two exceptions and those are the ones I approved for testing purposes.

Now, give me a minute to change that to one person quarantined on one board.

yeah old posts are going to get flagged as well because as far as the code is concerned, they havent been approved. making it only start flagging posts from the day the plugin is active isnt hard, but will require a rewrite.

the recent posts thing should be working. its working on my test site but I only tested FF and chrome.

The recent posts thing does work, but I can't have hundreds of posts quarantined, just because I suddenly need to preview someone for a while.  Know what I mean?

I have it working for members, but there is a bug when a guest posts, it isnt setting a key on the post. I opened a thread in support to find out if its a bug or not.

Im also trying to get it to work on quick reply, but I keep hitting a roadblock.

I don't allow guests to post.  I hadn't thought about quick reply. hmmmm

Here is a question for you. You had mentioned something about post count at one point.  Would that be a way to deal with guests since they wouldn't have a post count or since they are not members?  Also, would this be a way of automatically putting new registrants into preview mode? 

This would be a great way to open forums up to new registrations without having to wait for approval or without having to worry about some troll showing up overnight, because their posts would be hidden.  Just tossing that out there?   Also, since you brought up guests.  As I mentioned, I don't allow guests to post, so maybe you would know.  If you have guests posting does each guest get an identifying number attached to differentiate one guest from another?
