For what it's worth, you can disable the v5 mobile view via your admin panel under Upgrades > Experiments. This will force your forum to always use the 'desktop' view; it will likely be a sub-optimal experience for mobile users as they will have to zoom and will likely encounter some compatibility problems, but it will also allow plugins to run. It's up to you to determine which is more important for v5: the correct experience for this thread, or a streamlined mobile experience.

(Of course, once v6 rolls around and after someone has made the HTML in posts plugin for v6, you'll no longer have to choose)

Some people do not have signatures enabled (also the v6 layout doesn't show them). Please provide the URL to your forum in your OP (just edit it).

Also, while I cannot personally help you, you're missing some additional information:

- image dimensions
- if you want text on it (you say font doesn't matter but it's unclear if it is because you don't want text or because the font itself is unimportant to you)
- a specific hex colour for "dark blue" that you have in mind
- the image you want used for this "bright star or a planet of sorts" — as per request rules, images must be provided if you wish an image to be used. please make sure to link to one that is either licensed under a creative commons license or in the public domain.

Hey! Just a courtesy reply to say that there's actually a specific structure of information you have to provide for this. Specifically:
- Forum URL must be provided in original post.
- Forums need to be open to view and maintenance mode needs to be switched off.

as well as:
- Provide as much detail as you can when making a request. That includes supplying pictures, hex colors, and a link to a free font (note from me: I know a font is unlikely to be applicable)

^ So while the idea of "I'll let you have creative control" is really kind and thoughtful, you're actually less likely to get it filled as request fillers are all volunteers and tend to avoid open-ended requests. The better the constraints on the project, the better your chances of someone filling this.

Afraid not, if it's two forum accounts. My advice if they've been active on both is for them to pick the one they want to keep using & then just link to the main account in the signature field of the second account.

If it's two global accounts, they can unlink any accounts on the global account they don't want to use, and relink on the global account they do.

If you want the same effect as the JCINK forum you linked to, then yes.

Got it! Try adding this to the bottom of your theme's CSS sheet:

  background-size: cover;
  background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

That said, it looks like you've also used this image in your board backgrounds? So it won't look exactly the same, as the image is being used twice. You'll need to remove that, and then set your board background colour to transparent.

For the future, v6-related questions are generally better in the v6 boards :)

To answer, there's always a chance. The theme itself is pretty simple with minimal modifications, so it wouldn't be a lot of effort to re-create in v6, should someone want to (either Brian, or someone with Brian's permission).
