Hi, vanwoman. It could be a search engine bot that's familiar with the ProBoards forum structure and visiting familiar URLs manually in an attempt to index them. I can only really speculate based on the information you've given.

Those are the post options. I'm referring to the Actions dropdown found at the top of the thread next to its search bar, pictured at the top of your screenshot.

If you're getting a different thread number after the move I can only conclude that you're moving the posts and not the thread itself as that's the only way for a different thread ID to be assigned.
The correct moderator action to preserve the thread ID when moving a thread is Actions > Moderate > Move > Entire Thread.

Pretty much. That's how most plugins that hide stuff using Javascript work.

When you say cosmetic I assume you mean its not visible? That means it only hides the thread from sight after the thread was already visible on the page. A plugin can't prevent anyone from actually accessing the thread. Is there a plugin/template that does this? I have looked and read through quite a few threads and haven't been able to find anything. I'm not aware of any that do this, but you can always request one.

There's nothing in place to make view permissions work at the thread level. Permissions are determined entirely by what board each thread resides in.
While a plugin can hide threads depending on their labels after the page has loaded the change will only be cosmetic. Those threads will still be accessible, and anyone who knows how can get past any restrictions the plugin puts in place.

In each board's settings you have two fields: Name and Display Name.
Name determines what the board's name looks like in places where only plain, unstylized text is meant to be rendered such as the list of sub-boards below a board's description or the navigation tree.
Display Name is where you can style the name as whatever you enter here is only used in larger spaces that are capable of properly displaying more than plain text.
Remove the BBCode from the Name field to solve the issue.

BBCode only applies to the display name of boards. The sub-board list below the description just uses what's specified in each board's Name field where BBCode does not apply.
You would need to use CSS if you want to style them, though CSS is only going to be able to style the whole name and not just parts of it. So you wouldn't be able to color just the part that says "OFF" for example.

Hi, Niomi. These types of ads violate our ad policies, so this is definitely not intentional on our part. This is the reason we've added a Report Ad link among the footer links on each of our forums that advertisements are visible on. However, we understand that in the case of redirects it's impossible to report the ad since returning to the page and successfully loading it means that the problematic ad is no longer the one on the page. For this reason our ad reporting system automatically detects any potential redirect ads when someone has loaded them and reports them to us without any action on their part. Any you've experienced as of recently should be among the automatic reports and will likely be removed from our service once reviewed.

I thought that if a question was asked you were not supposed to create a new thread about it. It's the complete opposite. Even if you're experiencing the same issue described in another thread you should create your own thread. This is so that there aren't multiple conversations happening in a single support thread which makes it easier to read and respond to.

Hi, GooRoo. Thread numbering is going to function exactly the same between both v5 and v6. A thread's number is never changed when the thread itself is moved. However, if you're moving every single individual post out of the old thread (rather than moving the thread itself) and into a new thread those posts will reside in the new thread which is given a new number because it's a new thread.

I would recommend contacting your ISP to ask if anything has changed on your end since you mentioned it happened recently. If you were using the same ISP before and after the ban that would indicate that something changed on their end in that time.

Hi, jrs54 (Kent). If you're the main admin of the forum you can delete the forum in Settings > Forum Settings > Delete Forum. If you just want to temporarily restrict access to it you can enable maintenance mode instead in Settings > Forum Settings.

I mean is there any way i can test it out now? Recently we were able to try it out. I gave it a few minutes and that was it. Id like to invest more time with it now that i have some time. The test period ended around the end of January. It'll unfortunately be unavailable until the next testing period is announced. Im stressing over the release of V6. lol I just fear the amount of work that will go into fixing themes...updating all plug ins etc. This is what the 18 month period following its release will be for. Most v5 plugins will need small updates from their authors to work with v6, while v5 themes will no longer work after the 18 month period following the release of v6. Wouldnt mind getting a feel for it. But i think that was accessible in my theme settings? And now its gone. Thats why i asked if the test run for V6 was closed. Once the test period ended the theme was removed from the dropdown. You'll get another chance to test it before it's released. At some point you'll also be able to test it on your forum and not just be limited to testing out regular user features.
